David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Chicago Blackhawks.

The same old song. Very bad first period, very bad first minutes of the game. Two goals allowed after unbelievable two mistakes in all zones. Poor Varlamov. Then, later in the game, he showed key saves, he gave a chance to win to his team, but… it even did not help. There were dozens of mistakes in the passing, positioning, moving with the puck etc. Nothing works. Sacco´s tactic is dead. I hope you did not believe the Avs would have a chance for the comeback in the game. They did not deserve it. Duchene, Landeskog and O´Reilly are top leaders, but they could become average players soon under this coach. Gladly we saw nice Hejduk´s goal. He still could offer something from his great hockey skills. But what? The team is not a team… Fortunately, I can say you referring to my experiences from the post-game locker room that the atmosphere was bad and some players really care about the winning. They are sad. They want to win. But it does not work thanks to something…
