Giguere wakes up the management

Giguere wakes up the management Hi guys, this is my first article now @Eurolanche and @British_Avs are now working together! I would like to thank the guys at Eurolanche for this opportunity.

I wanted to write my view on the Jean Sebastien Giguere interview, when he stated that some of the players were more interested in their trip to Vegas at the end of the season, this forced the management to try and get the players minds back on track, after a bad couple of results/performances.

With an injury occurring to Semyon Varlamarov the Avs management made the decision to call up Sami Aittokallio. They started Sami against the Los Angeles Kings, knowing that they would have needed a performance and remembering that Giguere had said about the players minds being elsewhere.

I personally think they played Aittokallio to get a good game out of the players, knowing they will have to play well to keep his confidence up and protect him, they also showed us the battle they can give on a daily basis after beating the Ducks in the game before, but consistency is key.

It was a bad sight to see Sami go off injured but glad to see he is fine now.
