Nach wie vor nichts Neues bei Stewart und Mueller

Nun ist bald der erste Montag vorüber in der NHL Free Agent Zeit und Peter Mueller und Chris Stewart haben nach wie vor noch keinen Vertrag bei den Avs. Wird es also schön langsam Zeit, sich Sorgen zu machen? Laut den meisten Journalisten und Experten nach wie vor, Nein. Schließlich können die Avs ja im nachhinein bei jedem beliebigen Angebot eines anderen Klubs ebenfalls mitziehen und somit die Rechte bei sich behalten. Und man darf nicht vergessen, dass die Avs ja nach wie vor noch 8 Millionen unter der Untergrenze beim Gehalt in der NHL liegen, also insofern MÜSSEN die Avs ja noch Geld ausgeben für Spieler. Insofern ist das also anscheinend doch nur alles ein Gehaltspoker, der (hoffentlich) bald ein Ende hat.

Bezüglich Kovalchuk-Deal: Die NHL hat diesen Vertrag für nichtig erklärt, da er den Grundgedanken des Salary Caps untergeht. Was heißt das nun für Kovalchuk bzw. für die Devils? Vermutlich nicht viel. Die Devils werden einen neuen Vertrag mit zwei oder drei Jährchen weniger aufsetzen und dann wird die NHL wohl oder übel den Vertrag anerkennen müssen. Also Kovalchuk wird dann schon in New Jersey bei den Devils bleiben, und das für eine lange Zeit.

Mit diesem kurzem Resumee der letzten paar Tage verabschiede ich mich nun auch in den zweiwöchigen Urlaub. Insofern gibt es nun mal zwei Wochen keine deutschen News hier auf dieser Seite, erst wieder 10. August. Insofern eine schöne Zeit und man liest sich wieder. Go Avs!
