Eurolanche Invasion XII in numbers
The Fan Club’s twelfth trip to the US will begin on February 11, 2020.8 662 kilometers (5 382 miles) – the distance between the airport of departure in Vienna (Austria) and Denver
2 500 kilometers (1 600 miles) – the lowest estimated distance Invasion XII will travel in a rented minivan between Los Angeles and Denver (the route will include several stops and four overnight stays in motels) + additional kilometers/miles during trips in Colorado
1 336 kilometers (830 miles) – the distance between Denver and Los Angeles, which the participating members will travel via plane to California
82 – the number of Eurolanche members that took part in all Invasions, including the number of Invasion XII participants
79 – the number of attended Avalanche games following the conclusion of Invasion XII
69 kilograms (150 pounds) – the maximum luggage weight allowed in an airplane (a big travel case, onboard luggage and a small bag), which the participants will surely have their problems with following their shopping spree in Altitude Authentics at the Pepsi Center
36 – the maximum amount of travel cases, both big and small, as well as smaller bags, in which all Invasion XII can pack their belongings in
17 – the number of hours, which will pass from the group’s arrival at the airport in Vienna up until their arrival in Denver, after which they’ll have to quickly travel to the Pepsi Center for their first game
16 – the number of nights the group will spend in the US, which will make Invasion XII one of the longest trips ever (ranking it among Invasion I, Invasion VII and Invasion XI)
13 – the number of hours the participating members will spend in the plane from Vienna to Denver via London
12 – the number of Invasion XII participants, which will equal the record in the number of participating members from 2016 (Invasion VIII) and 2019 (Invasion XI)
11 – up until now, fans from 10 European countries have taken part in the Eurolanche Invasion project; Slovenia will become the eleventh during Invasion XII
11 – the number of times a member from Slovakia participated in the trip, the most among any country
8 – the number of Avalanche games the group will attend, which will equal the record set during Invasion XI
6 – the number of participants venturing to the US for the very first time, with the other half already being there thanks to Eurolanche (three members also took part in Invasion XI, the Fan Club’s most recent trip)
5 – the number of flights members of the group will have to take as part of Invasion XII (Stockholm/Vienna – London, London – Denver and back + one flight to Los Angeles for two away games)
4 – the number of countries of origin of the participating group (Slovakia, Czech Republic, Great Britain and, for the first time, Slovenia)
3 – in addition to Colorado, the participating Eurolanche members will visit three other US states (California, Nevada and Arizona), as well as Utah and New Mexico as part of their visit to the Four Corners National Monument)
2 – for the second time in Invasion history, the Fan Club will travel to Mexico (which they’ve previously visited during Invasion IX), where the participating members will spend some time in the border town of Tijuana
1 – the one and only thing all 12 Eurolanche Invasions have in common – passion, love and support for the Colorado Avalanche organization
