Hejduk: Avs are not going re-sign me

Hejduk: Avs are not going re-sign meCaptain of the Colorado Avalanche has openly talked about his bad season and the current situation.

Milan Hejduk will likely end his era in Denver. He is not definitely decided to retire in the NHL. He was interviewed by the Czech website iDnes.cz and told them many interesting facts. “If there will be some options, I will continue. If not, I will retire,” said Hejduk. “I think the Avs are not going re-sign me. For unknown reasons, I have lost the confidence of the coach. He gave me little opportunity to play.”

Hejduk has admitted he played the worst season in his career. He feels badly for it. He is not going to play on the World Championships. He would like to get strength during the summer and wait for possible offers. He is also not thinking about playing in his hometown in Europe. “No. I will not come back to the Czech league. Rather, maybe I'll go somewhere else in the NHL,” he said.

Hejduk feels good and have not had problems with his knee since the previous season. He would like to stay in Denver when he definitely retires from NHL.
