Roman Will talks about training camp

Roman Will talks about training campEurolanche brings you exclusive diary of Roman Will who is on the Colorado Avalanche roster for the training camp.

Roman Will signed entry level contract with the Colorado Avalanche before the start of new season. Eurolanche has started the cooperation with young Czech goalie and we will bring you his daily diary during the training camp.

Roman arrived to Denver on August 29. “I flew alone. It was long flight, but I have no problem with that. Some of the guys were already at the place, they came one week earlier,” said Roman Will who practiced individually a lot in the summer that he preferred much.

The training camp started today but all players had a chance to come to Denver anytime earlier to adapt on the Mile High city. The unofficial part of the camp was very interesting to rookies. “We had workout every morning and then we had a practice on the ice with the Avalanche players. For example Gabriel Landeskog led the practice,” said Will who couldn’t be coached by any of Avs coaches that is restricted until the start of the official training camp.

Will has had more than two weeks to meet his new teammates and leaders of the NHL team. He talked mainly with his countryman Jan Hejda. He didn’t meet with anyone from the management before the start of training camp. “I don’t know where I could play this season. I would like to be in the AHL, but it is going to be tough as two drafted goalies are playing there. I think everybody will play in some preseason game o show his skills before sending down to the minors,” said Will with a hope. Beside many practices he spent last weeks talking with his teammates and visiting good places for dinner.
