Invasion VII: Interview with David

Invasion VII: Interview with DavidEurolanche Fan Club introduces its eight members who will travel to Colorado in the next days as a part of the Eurolanche Invasion VII.

Eurolanche Invasion VII starts on December 26. Seven Eurolanche members from Slovakia and one from Austria will be staying in Denver for 17 days. The main schedule includes a visit of seven Colorado Avalanche games and an in-person meeting with the players. The whole schedule of the seventh Invasion will be very busy as you can see in this story. The Invasion coverage starts on the mentioned day at www.invasion.eurolanche.com.

David Puchovsky, 24, lives in Bratislava, Slovakia and he has been a President of the Eurolanche since its beginning in 2007. He became the Avalanche fan just few months prior they won the second Stanley Cup. It will be his (record) sixth Invasion; he missed only the Invasion II as two Invasions were organized in one season in that time. He studied journalism and works for the biggest national daily newspaper in Slovakia (www.cas.sk).

Why did you decide to travel to Denver for the third time?

It sounds incredible that it will be my sixth time. I really like Denver. It is not only about hockey like it was in the past. Overall atmposhere is hard to forget from year to year. In spite of the fact that we experienced many moments and gained a lot of success, there has been always something that surprise us. We always want to promote Eurolanche in different and better ways in Denver.

What are your expectations? Do not you worry it could be the same like last years?

Definitely not. I met all Invasion VII members that I didn't know before at a weekend meeting. I can say we are perfect team of the fans. And that's a key element for nicer and unforgettable moments like in the past. When you check our schedule now, it seems the Invasion VII could become the best trip ever.

What are you looking forward on most?

On a few hours of sleeping that means we will drive not only in Denver area, but also in Colorado state. It will be bring more experiences and memories.

What do you think will be different this time in comparison with last Invasions?

As I said the schedule can't be compare with past years. It so busy. I hope it won't be affected by anything. Also there will be a record number of members this time that also can have an affect on the overall result.

Can you describe us your preparation for the trip?

Speaking for me, it is kind of stereotype as I was in USA for seven times. But I am a person who is responsible for the Invasion VII organization. It brings tons of duties for weeks and it ends after our come back to Europe.

What would you like to say to fans who are thinking about their participation at further trips?

Nobody else offers it. Only we. I think we show to all hockey fans around the world in the six-year history of this project that it has no competition. Who hesitates will never meet an Avalanche player. And most of them know many our members by their name...
