Meeting with Hejduk and Hejda
A report from the meeting with two Czech players.One very significant meeting was held during the recent Eurolanche Invasion VIII. It has become one of the top moments of whole trip in spite of it took only few minutes. Members of the eighth trip of Colorado Avalanche’s European Fan Club had nothing but great feelings after its end. Milan Hejduk and Jan Hejda found a free time for a meet & greet with 12 trips’ members from five different countries.

We met with two Czech players in a small ice hockey arena in Denver where they often go to play an ice hockey with friends. Similar arenas are very spread thru all Denver. Hockey is literally everywhere and possibilities are unlimited. It is hard to compare it with our region.

Milan and Jan had any problem with our group that was bigger than usual. More people meant more autographs and photos requests. Hejda confirmed his retirement of hockey and post-hockey life in Denver. Hejduk has not denied he will join the Avalanche front office when his 12-year old twins will be older. We talked about many other topics like Czech hockey, Jaromir Jagr, current Avs results, Patrick Roy and many others.

What may be the most interesting of this meeting for all Eurolanche members is an opportunity for the offseason meeting with both players in Czech Republic where they will travel in the summer. We will keep you informed, just follow us.
