Slovakia and Eurolanche in a museum

Slovakia and Eurolanche in a museumThe unofficial museum of the world’s biggest fast-food chain expanded its collection.

Up to this point, Eurolanchethe World's Biggest Avs Fan Club Founded in Europe since 2007 has organized twelve trips for its members to the US to experience Avs hockey live. The schedule of said trips include a variety of other activities, as well as a plethora of memorable experiences.

During the most recent trip, the Eurolanche Invasion XII, the Invasion participants were travelling from Los Angeles to Denver via Las Vegas. Part of the group’s journey between Los Angeles and Las Vegas went along the famous Route 66. One of the first stops several miles outside LA was in the town of San Bernardino, where the group visited the site of the original McDonald’s, which was open between 1940 and 1953.

Today, the site is home to the unofficial McDonald’s museum. General admission is free and visitors have the opportunity to look at tens of thousands of various items connected with the famous fast-food chain from countries all over the world. These include preserved sandwiches, menus, toys, food packaging, promotional material etc.

When Eurolanche President David Puchovsky noticed that the exposition was missing something from a Slovak McDonald’s, he struck a deal with the manager that he’ll send him something interesting. Upon flying back home, David contacted the PR department of the Slovak McDonald’s branch, which sent him several specific items, which are only available in its Slovak restaurants.

David sent said items directly to San Bernardino and, per request of the museum’s manager, also attached a photo of himself in front of the Bratislava Castle in a Colorado Avalanche jersey with an additional description of both Eurolanche and the Eurolanche Invasion. Thus, the Slovak McDonald’s found its honorary place in one of the museum’s display cases, albeit with a little typo in the name of our country. Luckily, the display includes a mention about Eurolanche, which further complements the essence of the Fan Club to not only provide hockey-related experiences, but other ones as well.

Thank you, McDonald's Slovakia for a cooperation!
