Eurolanche provided jerseys
A non-traditional connection showed that there are sports enthusiasts even among high level officials.Czech Ambassador to the Slovak Republic Tomáš Tuhý and the President of the Czech Police Force Jan Švejdar showed their support of the Colorado Avalanche, when they both donned its jersey. This non-traditional moment had several symbolic meanings.
Former Avs forward Milan Hejduk, the compatriot of both the ambassador and the police president, played his entire NHL career for the team from the Mile High City. Hejduk signed and added a personal message to both jerseys.
The jerseys were provided thanks to the special professional and friendly mutual cooperation between the attaché of the Czech Police Force in Bratislava Marián Paštinský and David Púchovský from the communication and prevention department of the Slovak Police Force Bureau. Back in 2007, David founded the biggest Colorado Avalanche fan club in the world under the name Eurolanche and he used all his oversea contacts to make this idea and exchange happen. A big thank you goes out to reporter Josef Cafourek from Denver as well.
Eurolanche welcomes both the ambassador’s and the Czech Police Force president’s support of the Colorado Avalanche. This initiative serves as an example of how to effectively combine friendly professional relations with passion for sport.
