Eurolanche Meeting 16 in Brno

In December, die-hard members of Eurolanche from Slovakia and Czechia met in Brno – the Fan Club’s favorite city, where several watchparties took place in the past. 12 fans arrived.

The first evening didn’t have a set program, yet most of the participants met at a downtown pub for a beer. Around midnight, the group split up – one part went to enjoy some sleep, the other headed to a club. This part didn’t arrive at the accommodation until morning…

Saturday’s joint program began in the afternoon with bowling, foosball, darts and, of course, beer. These activities were hosted by the well-known Sportcentrum Balkan, which Fan Club members may already know from previous visits to this city. In the evening, the group moved to the Christmas fair, from where they slowly headed to the Arena Sport bar, which Eurolanche uses to watch games in Brno.

Once again, this place didn’t disappoint – the owner went out of his way to accommodate us in everything, for which we are extremely grateful. The program began with a quiz about the Colorado Avalanche. Four teams were formed to compete for Avs-themed souvenirs.

Just before the game, a sudden boost appeared – the biggest surprise of the trip. The Fan Club’s president appeared in the doorway with the Stanley Cup in his hands – despite the fact that he informed the participants on numerous occasions that he wouldn’t be able to make it due to other obligations.  

Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for began, but the game didn’t go as expected at all. Philadelphia Flyers led almost the entire time and Colorado lost 2:5 despite outshooting their opponent. Nonetheless, the trip met expectations, strengthened Eurolanche’s fan spirit and its participants are already looking forward to other events, where they’ll support our team together with other fans.
