Eurolanche is going to the playoffs!

Eurolanche will make it to the playoffs in Colorado and Dallas! According to the original plan, Fan Club members were supposed to take a break from their annual overseas trip during the 2023/24 season. However, everything changed at the last minute. For the first time in the Fan Club’s 17-year history, die-hard Colorado Avalanche fans will attend playoff games. They will spend a week in the US from May 13 until May 20 as part of Eurolanche on Tour XIV.

“Due to the specific publishing of the playoff schedule, I thought for a long time that we would never be able to organize a trip at this stage of the season. It usually takes up to half a year to organize a standard trip with everything it goes with during the regular season. Therefore, I’m all the more glad that we found several brave fans who want to experience the unique atmosphere of the knockout phase of the season. I myself can't wait for the trip,” said Eurolanche Founder and President David Púchovský.

The main program of the trip will consist of attending Avalanche games in their second round series against the Dallas Stars. Currently, only Game 4 in Denver is guaranteed. Tour XIV participants have reserved tickets for Game 5 in Dallas and Game 6 back in Colorado. Should the series eventually go to a Game 7, they will watch the series-deciding game at a bar in Denver with other fans.

Due to time and financial constraints, three fans from Slovakia and Czechia will take part in the fourteenth trip of the Fan Club. Only Eurolanche Invasion I, II and IV had as many participants, most recently during the 2011/12 season. For David from Slovakia, this will be his fourteenth trip to Denver, the thirteenth as part of the Tour project. Czechia will be represented by Matěj and Robert. Matěj will return to Denver for the fourth time, for the first time since 2013, and Robert will embark on his maiden trip to Colorado, as he’s only previously experienced Avs hockey in Finland back in 2022.

Due to the trip being organized literally a few hours before takeoff, the rest of the program is yet to be finalized. However, it’s already certain that it will include activities, which aren’t available during the winter months during standard trips.
