Eurolanche Meeting 17
A packed weekend with two Avalanche games.
The Eurolanche Fan Club organized its 17th member meeting. At the turn of November and December, Eurolanche Meeting 17 took place at Senecké jazerá (Senec Lakes) near Bratislava, a location known for its attractiveness mainly during the summer tourist season.
A total of 20 Colorado Avalanche fans from Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary came to the meeting. In terms of numbers, this was the biggest meeting organized during the regular season. The group was a mix of long-term members who had been to Colorado multiple times, as well as newcomers. Originally, even more participants signed up for the meeting, but had to cancel due to illness and other unforeseen circumstances.
The program’s highlights were two Avalanche games in a row. The first game began after three o’clock in the morning, the second began shortly after four o’clock in the morning, which made both nights quite difficult – even more so due to the Avs losing both games against the Stars and Oilers respectively.
The Avs’ bad results were compensated by the welcoming atmosphere of the Burgerman restaurant. Its owner and staff prepared fantastic conditions, food during the night and a great atmosphere for Eurolanche, which motivates us to visit this place again in the future.
Each respective group of fans had the opportunity to arrange the rest of the weekend program individually based on their preferences. Some rested at the hotel, others went to the spa, another group went ice-skating at the local rink and most fans visited the city center of nearby Bratislava with its Christmas market. The meeting's activities were completed by a NHL 25 tournament on PlayStation 5, a quiz with local visitors of the restaurant, a betting competition for Avalanche souvenirs, as well as karaoke.
