The road to 100 Avs games (4.)
Eurolanche, the largest Colorado Avalanche Fan Club in the world, reached a historic milestone on January 10, 2026, when its members watched the Avalanche's 100th game as part of Eurolanche on Tour, formerly known as Eurolanche Invasion.
To mark the occasion, an extensive article was published with detailed statistics providing an overview of all 100 games that Fan Club members have seen in North America.
Let's now take a look at Eurolanche's journey to this milestone through a photo series and commemorative comments focusing on memorable moments related to attending Avalanche games overseas.
EUROLANCHE INVASION IV (2011/12) - 6 games (21/100)
After a year-long hiatus, Eurolanche members returned to Denver for the fourth time. It was an extraordinary trip in every way. The eventful journey began in Bratislava, Slovakia, continued by train and a chaotic walk along the highway to the right airport... In Denver, everything went smoothly. Meetings with players, the formation of long-lasting friendships, but also Christmas far from home. Add to that a visit to the locker room, an NFL game, and a lot of fun. The fourth trip stabilized the trips and paved the way for their future forms of implementation.
The first photo of Eurolanche Invasion IV. Yes, the trip began at Bratislava Main Station.
The shopping marathon began shortly after arrival. How many years have passed, it seems like it was all yesterday...
Post-game meeting with Milan Hejduk. We are glad we caught him while he was still playing in the NHL.

In the history of Eurolanche on Tour/Invasion, we have only been to a Denver Broncos NFL game once.

I had my first SLR camera on the fourth tour. I photographed everything from every angle. The photo gallery was rich and of higher quality. Interestingly, I am using the same camera on Eurolanche on Tour XVI, 15 years later.

It was great that we could bring our SLR cameras to the Pepsi Center. That's how these shots were taken. We brought back dozens of photos from each game. Later, we could only rely on our cell phones, which was never the same.
Two of the three participants in the trip got onto the ice during intermissions, where they took part in competitions.
Norbert from Austria with Jake Schroeder. This is where our long-standing friendship with the singer of the anthem before every Avs game began.
Three participants of the trip with two American friends (left) inside Pepsi Center after the game.
Traditional visit to training at the Family Sports Center.
As a journalist, I was invited to monitor the Avs players' visit to the hospital. I have a crazy story about this, which was later spread by one particular person—I'll come back to it in my new book about the Fan Club.

Andy and we celebrated the Avalanche's game wins like this. The atmosphere was fantastic.
Matěj was looking for one specific store. The navigation failed. We ended up somewhere on the outskirts...
The only time in my life I met Pierre Lacroix, who is now deceased.
Jan Hejda took us to the locker room.
That's how Matěj and I spent Christmas with Nick and his parents. Thanks to them, we felt good and not alone.

With Peter McNab and Kyle Keefe. Visits to Eurolanche at their stadium studio were the norm at the start of every Tour.
We enjoyed watching the Avs from the front row.
This is how we waited for the players and collected their signatures. We never sold any of them, despite the smear campaign and misinformation that certain people spread about us for years.
