Eurolanche: Summary of the season

Eurolanche: Summary of the seasonRead the summary of the fifth season in the history of the first European fanclub Eurolanche.

Colorado Avalanche played the final game of its season few hours ago. Some fans rank it positively, somebody has neutral opinion and there are of course fans who think it was very bad year for our team. Look at how the last months looked liked in the Eurolanche fanclub.

We changed our website for the third time in our history before the start of our fifth season. We moved from the complicated version to the basic version. We have focused more on the content. I can say now it was good decision. The unique daily visit of the website has grown up about more than 100 percent. We have become one of the most visited fan website. Our site offers four basic boxes/sections – articles in English, articles in other languages, articles in Czech and Slovak languages and infobox about Eurolanche. I am very happy that many fans and members have liked it. We are going to make some updates of the website for the next year. I hope you will like it. You will be informed about everything on the time.

The primarily reason of our success were articles. The editor´s team writes at least three exclusive articles per day in Czech or Slovan languages + news in other languages. It was huge improvement which has not competition on the market of fan websites. I would like to thank to all editors, especially to them who write regularly: Rudo Sery, Matej Klucho, Norbert Gruber, Jakub Klos, Juraj Janotak, Peter Macak, Filip Hastik, Pavol Hercko and Robert Ciubotaru.

We started the season 2011/12 by meeting of members in Slovakia. The record number of participants watched hard loss against Detroit Red Wings, but the whole atmosphere was great. The season continued with the big November competition. Three members won totally six authentic signatures of chosen Avalanche players. Some of them were also with the dedication.

The most memorable moment of the season for Eurolanche was the fourth trip of its members to Denver in December 2011. David Puchovsky, Matej Klucho and Norbert Gruber were there. Members visited six Avalanche games for free thanks to Colorado Avalanche organization, met all players, talked with fans or journalists and experienced great moments. Eurolanche Invasion IV has confirmed the uniqueness of the fanclub who has not competition in Europe.

One of the positives was the second year of the Eurolanche League – the bet league where you predict results of the Avalanche games. Three most successful members would win eight souvenirs. Eurolanche was mentioned in the editorial of the biggest European magazine about the NHL published in four European countries called Pro Hockey and also on Adrian Daiter´s blog.

Fanclub Eurolanche has another great year behind. We moved forward again. It would be hard to break previous records. Three main factors has become the reason of our success: finally good website, regularly articles and the fourth trip to Colorado.

I believe we will continue in our latest steps. All members can join us. Eurolanche will be here for you from the next season.

On behalf the editor´s team, thank you very much for your interest and favor. Have a nice hockey holidays.
