Avalanche prospect´s defenseman Gabriel Beaupré made an impression in Lake Erie´s training camp and he signs with Monsters one-year contract. According Valérie Maltais (canadian journalist), he will play between AHL and CHL (Denver Cutthroats).

Beaupré (19) was drafted by Avalanche last year as #153. He played in QMJHL for Val-d´Or Foreurs. He played in 240 games with 50 points (11 goals and 39 assists). In playoff he added 14 games with 3 points (1+2).

Gabriel Beaupré about his dream: "I always have a goal in mind is to play in the NHL one day, regardless of the path that I must take." Then he continued:
"I want to thank all the people of Val-d'Or for their hospitality and support, but also the organization of Foreurs and Marc-André. It is thanks to them that I could have my chance at a professional level."
