Taxes in the NHL

Audit company KPMG has made a research of all state taxes regarding the players salary. I was shocked when I found out a high of taxes. I previously knew, there are high taxes in NHL, but so big? Denver, or if you want, Colorado Avalanche, is at 12th position.
Since the article came up yet before the opening of UFA market, KPMG were focused on the potentional trades. As examples were placed Paul Gaustad of Nashville, Shane Doan of Phoenix and Zach Parise of New Jersey Devils, now Minnesota Wild. The graph shows their salary from the last season and the real money which they would get in the NHL cities.
Suprisingly, the highest taxes are in Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto. What is the overall result for players? Come to Colorado! You will have better conditions than other 60% of teams in NHL.
