Aittokallio´s fantastic debut
Lake Erie Monsters with Sami in the net defeats Barons from Oklahoma 2-1.Lake Erie Monsters open the AHL season with victory over Oklahoma City. Lake Erie won the game 2-1 when Bill Thomas and Andrew Agozzino scored for Monsters.
Lake Erie goalie Sami Aittokallio, a rookie from Finland, played tremendous game. He made 29 saves, including several jaw-droppers.
Dean Chynoweth earned his first victory as Monsters coach. He replaced David Quinn, who coached the previous three seasons.
