Varlamov has ANOTHER shutoutThe Colorado Avalanche goaltender continues in the nothing, but all-time best shape in his entire career.

Semyon Varlamov has become the best goaltender of the last week in the KHL. If you though it could have some bad impact on him, you are wrong. Varlamov played another great game and he earned ANOTHER shutout. His KHL´s team, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, won 4:0 at the ice of CSKA Moscow. Varlamov saved all 34 shots.

 

It was Varlamov´s third shutout in the season in his 12th game. His save percentage is 95.1 % (the best in the entire league) and GAA is 1.63 (2nd place in the league). He won 9 of 12 games. Overall, Lokomotiv has won 9 straight games; Varlamov was in the net in 5 cases.

The next Lokomotiv´s game is scheduled on Friday in Prague, Czech Republic. Varlamov´s team will face Slovak franchise of HC Slovan in Bratislava, Slovakia on Sunday. We will be there and cover Varlamov´s performance via Live Coverage. We will keep you informed.

The next positive news is that Gabriel Landeskog´s Swedish team of the 2-tier league, Djurgarden, has won the second straight game, for the first time in a month. Djurgarden defeat Orebro 2:1, Landeskog stayed without point. He has 9 points of 13 games in the league.
