Great performance by Stastny in Germany

Great performance by Stastny in GermanyThe recap of Colorado Avalanche center´s era in the German city of Munich.

Paul Stastny came to the top German league in the half of November. He joined the EHC Red Bull Munich. He played in 13 games and gained 18 points for 7 goals and 11 assists. Totally, he had 64 shots on the net, 20 penalty minutes and one plus point. In 13 games, he won 8 of them and finished on the third place in the team stats.

Stastny took his debut on 16th November against Hannover. His team lost 1:3,;no points, just two penalty minutes for Stastny. In the next game against Augsburger, he scored the goal winning goal. He also scored the GWG against Wolfburg, when he  had one assist. too.

He had a two-point game against Berlin (two assists), Iserlohn (1+1) and Hannover (two goals). In each of the following games against Mannheim and Straubling Stastny scored a goal and assisted on two. He remained pointless only in three of 13 games.

As we can see on numbers, Stastny had a good time in Germany. We can say he was the best offensive player of the three Colorado Avalanche players in Europe (Landeskog, Duchene).  This is confirmed also by the team and the press from Germany. He showed nice offensive tricks, he was able to score and effectively pass the puck. Crowd loved him. We surely can say his performance in DEL was very good and we hope he will continue in that also in the NHL.
