Svatos is close to deal with the KHL team
Former player of the Colorado Avalanche, Marek Svatos, is heading to HC Slovan Bratislava. After
Svatos’s attendance at Florida Panthers preseason camp, where he did not get a new
contract, Marek is likely coming back to Slovakia. Source says it is 90% sure.
„We can confirm Marek Svatos is one of the
players we are making progress. Until the deal is done, we can not tell
anything more,“ said the management to sportky.topky.sk.
Because of the end of lockout, the KHL extended possible tranfer deadline to 31/1.
It allows Marek to play again in KHL.
Marek has had a chance to restart his NHL carrer but he did not convince Florida Panthers about his quality. He can make it up in KHL. Slovan needs player like him. Former player of Colorado, Nashville and Ottawa played totally 344 games in NHL with 172 points for 100+72 plus 14 games in playoffs. He already played in KHL for Avangard Omsk in 2010, when he gained 8 points (3+5) in 19 games.
