Marek Svatos is finally back. After very long one and half year break without hockey, he has signed a deal with the KHL team, HC Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday. The team is based in Slovakia, Svatos´ home state. HC Slovan is currently very close to the playoffs clinching in their first season in the KHL. Svatos is supposed to be a replacement for the injured captain of HC Slovan, Miroslav Satan, another former NHL player.

Svatos was trying to come back to the NHL after one and half season break due the injuries, but he was released from the try-out contract at the training camp of Florida Panthers. He will spend the rest of the season in the KHL. His presence in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, increased the interest of the local media. The experts expect skilled hockey from Svatos, who is known as a fast sniper. Of course no one knows at present how he will handle his long break.
