David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism on the Colorado Avalanche game against Columbus Blue Jackets.

Laughing or crying? It was more about laughing today, but there is still one big “but”. Offensive lines were phenomenal. Almost each player had a great shot or at least created perfect goal scoring opportunity. Even Bordeleau tried to get in the breakaway. Jones and McGinn were not stats guys, but their effort was visible. They played hard and that counts. Hejduk assisted two times and showed to his haters he still can play. I do not know what to write about Stastny. Some fans think he was the weakest part of the offensive lines last night. I barely saw him and if he finally was in the action, he could not score. I think it will not finish good with him. Defensive pairs were attacking and checking deeply in the offensive zone, great work. The best player of the game was Varlamov. If he was not show great saves, the final score could be really different. Columbus could win. Russian goalie helped to his teammates much and their said him thank you by scoring goals. That´s great co-operation. And Duchene? Star!
