Eurolanche enters its sixth season

Eurolanche enters its sixth seasonThe hockey season preview of the first European fan club of Colorado Avalanche.

After months of waiting, the 2012/13 season has finally started. It is the sixth hockey season in the Eurolanche history. The Colorado Avalanche Fan Club was founded in August 2007 and will celebrate its sixth anniversary this year. The staff of Eurolanche is ready for tons of Avalanche games and all of the coverage. Take a look what is waiting for you in the 2012/13 season in the Eurolanche Fan Club.

Firstly, the biggest Eurolanche´s event will be the fifth trip of its members to Denver, Colorado, called Eurolanche Invasion V. Four Eurolanche members from Slovakia and Czech Republic will spend 14 days in Denver in March 2013. Mainly, they will visit six games of the Colorado Avalanche, couple of practices at the Family Sports Center and meet all players after the end of each game. The schedule also includes media appearances at the local websites, in the newspapers and on the TV channels. Members will not only meet the players and the employers of the Avalanche organization, but also with US fans who support the idea of Eurolanche during the whole year. For those fans, which will stay at home and will not travel with us, we will prepare interesting competitons for Avalanche souvenirs and players´ signed photos. Finally, you will be able to read our daily coverage from Denver at the invasion.eurolanche.com. Click here for more information about the Invasion V.

Secondly, Eurolanche´s editors will continue in the great pace from the last season. As the most of our editors are based in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Austria, most of the stories will be available in their native languages. Eurolanche organization definitely does not want to restrict only-English-speaking fans. We are trying to do our best and expand our staff by more English native writers. We believe you will enjoy their coverage as well. The usual Eurolanche´s coverage will include previews and recaps of all games, opinions, general stories and breaking news, recaps of the Lake Erie Monster hockey and news around the minor leagues, interviews and more. Our aim is to have at least three articles per day for Slovak and Czech speaking fans, and one story for English speaking fans per day. If you feel you could contribute to our work with your own stories, your language does not matter and we would welcome your input greatly. Contact us at eurolanche@eurolanche.com.

Thirdly, the contests during the Eurolanche Invasion V definitely will not be first and the last opportunity to win the Avalanche souvenirs or signed photos of the players. Eurolanche will run various contests and you will be informed at the time on our official website in the Eurolanche Infobox. Currently, one of the greatest chances how to win souvenirs is the Eurolanche League.

In the case of the organization of the meetings between members or with the Avalanche players in the offseason, we would inform you on the time.

Finally, I would like to point at several upgrades and important parts of our website:

For all fans who would like to join us, this the place where you sign in. At this place, you can find not only the registration form, but also the brief overview of all benefits for the Eurolanche members. Importantly, the membership is free of charge. If you want to get the Eurolanche newsletter, do not forget to add your email information (it will not be published anywhere).

The homepage www.eurolanche.com was upgraded at the start of the 2012/13 season. Now, in one place, you can see the updated standings and stats of the Colorado Avalanche players. All time stats are available under the Team Stats. Just scroll down. The bottom part of the website includes also two social boxes (Twitter and Facebook). Now, you have all important news and information about the Avalanche hockey in one place.

The live score will work again in this season. After the end of each game, you can open the official game summary by clicking on the final score. Schedule with the European times is available there and the Highlights too.

We made little changes to the main menu. The menu button on the far right side, Avalanche, contains the best overview of the Colorado Avalanche lineup updated after each game. You can find there the players in the system, the coaching staff and management too. Again in this case, we want to offer you all key information in one place. The second and smaller menu is placed in the Eurolanche Infobox. It shows you the list of Eurolanche´s staff members, multimedia (photos and videos of our activity), contacts information and our partners.

For communication about the Avalanche, the best two places at our website: Live Chat during the games and the Message Boards/Forum. The forum is our newest addition and we would be happy if you will help us with to expand of the activity over there.

We wish you great Colorado Avalanche hockey season with the Eurolanche Fan Club.
