David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Edmonton Oilers.

We finally saw very nice hockey by the Avs and can say they deserved to win. One bad moment was sole Oilers´ goal in the first minute. It reminded us previous games. But the following Avs´ pressure caused the offensive avalanche in their offensive zone. Duchene was a hero for me – he caused at least two PPs for his teammates, play hard, had good passing and great shots. Exactly this we want from him. Do not praise him too much. You can do it if he will do it every game. Regularly. McGinn was another Av with more than standard performance. And Varly with defensive pairs had not allowed opponents almost to nothing dangerous. I did not like only O´Byrne ´cause his few mistakes in the passing in front of own net. PKs were very nice. Who did expect it after horrible games this and last week? At the other side, they did not score a goal on six PPs against Oilers. Yes, there was improvement, but no goals are no goals. It could cost them much if they would play against other team.
