David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Minnesota Wild.

If you did not get up of your bed to watch last night´s game, you can regret it. Finally, Avs had a very solid game against Minnesota, played hard for full 60+ minutes. They got all what they need – effort, passes, shots and chances. All issues were improved, but I worry about one fact from the past: Was not Avalanche´s play so good only due the catastrophic Wild´s hockey? Is not Minnesota a member of the “elite” group of teams which we can beat, but the rest of the league we cannot? We will see. This last game was almost lost by refs. They let Wild to score illegal goal. I haven´t seen worse refs than they are. Never. It was not their fits BIG mistake of the season. I am happy for Duchene. He was not healthy on 100%, but was a leader. He is unbelievable this year. The same with Hejduk. His play on his birthday reminded me golden era of the Avs hockey. Especially when he played on the PP in the overtime. Negatives aspects included “only” huge defensive mistakes. But nobody got injured!
