Invasion V: Facts and Schedule

Invasion V: Facts and ScheduleFour Eurolanche members will travel to Denver on Thursday. This is their schedule and key facts.

It is a cliché when we still repeat how the next and the next Eurolanche Invasions are going to be better than previous trips of European fans to Denver. No doubt the Eurolanche Invasion V will be nothing, but the best and the biggest event in the Eurolanche history. Stop with the writing my empty words and look at the key facts of the Eurolanche Invasion V:

  • 4 Eurolanche members will travel to Denver, totally two different nationalities (three Slovak fans and one Czech)
  • The second highest number of the Eurolanche members takes a part in the Invasion V (6 members/3 different nationalities attended the Invasion III in 2010)
  • Eurolanche members will spend in North America 17 days (including travelling days), what ties the record of the longest Eurolanche´s trip, the Invasion I of 2008/09
  • Members meet in Bratislava, Slovakia on Wednesday and will travel by bus to the airport near to Vienna, Austria early in the next morning – they will fly from Vienna to Washington and then to Denver, on the road back they will fly from Denver to Toronto and finally to Vienna
  • They will spend 14 hours and 10 minutes in the air on the road to Denver and totally 22 hours of the travelling – one of the longest road to Denver in the history of all five Eurolanche´s trips
  • Eurolanche members will visit 6 Avalanche home games, exactly the same number like during the Invasion I, III and IV (Members watched 3 games during the Invasion II)
  • Colorado Avalanche won 4 of 6 games during the Invasion I and 5 of 6 games during both Invasion III and IV
  • The biggest event of the Eurolanche Invasion V will be a trip to Minnesota to watch the Avalanche away game
  • It will be the historical first Colorado Avalanche away game for the Eurolanche members
  • The total number of all visited games, 7, is also the new record
  • The drive to Minnesota will take from 13 to 15 hours; it is almost 1000 miles away of Denver
  • Except the 7 NHL games, Eurolanche members will visit at least four games of four different North American sports – MLS, NBA, MBL and NLL what makes another record of all Invasions
  • The Invasion V will include at least two visits of the Avalanche practice for the public and various trips in the state of Colorado (Idaho Springs, Aspen, Pikes Peak Railway, Lake Granby and more)
  • The members fly to Toronto on Match 21st and will spend there one day by visiting Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower and more
  • The members have never visited other state than Colorado, either Canada – the Invasion V will break both milestones (trip to Minnesota and one day in Toronto)
