David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Columbus Blue Jackets.

Who would have thought that Columbus Blue Jackets game could be this cool, fast and enjoyable to watch? Last night, it was nothing but solid NHL hockey game. What a surprise. Colorado deserved to win this game. We are not that sad like we would have been at the start of the season though. The race for the draft pick number one continues, but all indicates that Avs are going to fight for 5th-10th pick and are trying to keep Sacco for the next dozen years Landy´s line rocked. It is always helpful to have power forwards with skills. Great job done by Hejda and Barrie as well, our all-season best defensemen. Giving the fact that Avs were still in the lead late in the third period, they should have taken that extra point or kept the lead. It was so funny, when Jackets tied it and won the game in overtime. It would not be funny in different situation and in different times AND without Sacco on the bench. Honestly, Avs players have improved their performance since the last week. I just hope they have done it for us, for the hockey, for the logo, for the pride and not for their contracts.
