David´s column on the last game

David´s column on the last gameA brief recap and a criticism of the Colorado Avalanche game against Minnesota Wild.

The best end of the game in the season? I almost lost all of my nerves. We were watching 4 games at one time. Unfortunately, Detroit has made playoffs again. Tampa Bay and Nashville won their games. So at the end it depended on Avs how the final standings will look like. Wild were leading by one goal. Referee waived off Avs´ goal and the home team had thousands of chances in the third period. Finally, they lost by two goals and I was happy. Really. Thanks to the loss, they finished on the 29th place and will pick one of top three picks on the draft. But to be honest, in the different situation and consequences I would say the Avalanche absolutely deserved to win. It could be Hejduk´s last game. I do not understand all that pressure by media on him. Why they do it? Hejduk won the last faceoff of the game and then took the puck. It speaks for itself… Thanks for reading game previews, recaps and my columns. Season was short, but is finally over. The new start is coming in the next months.

I would like to say big thank you to all readers of my columns over past two years. I covered every single Avalanche game. Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue in that in the following season. We will definitely keep posting some kind of columns. Thank you!
