Eurolanche League: Final standings/winners

The Eurolanche League continued in the shortened
season with 48 rounds – Colorado Avalanche played the same number of the games.
Due the shortened season we decided to give the Avalanche souvenirs to the first
two and not three winners. For the third time in a row, the Eurolanche
League finished after the regular season because the Avs could not reach the
playoffs.
There were many different members placed on the first
two positions during the season. Finally,
Michal Urda from Slovakia won the competition with 104 points. It was drama
to the final game in the season at the second place. Totally, five members had
a chance to fight for the souvenirs. Thanks to successful game score
prediction of the last Avalanche game, Michal
Polak from Czech Republic got 7 points and finished the League at the second
place. Full
standings are available here.
Totally 49 members participated in the Eurolanche
League during the season. It is more
about 53 % and even 213 % in the comparison with the previous two seasons.
Members of the Eurolanche sent 1068 predictions totally, 22,25 average per
game. Members successfully predicted
all three elements of the game (the wining team, the final score the game
winning goal scorer) for six times. Detailed stats are
available at this link.
Eurolanche League is a competition between the members
of Eurolanche fan club. The purpose is
to find members who are able to predict results of the Colorado Avalanche
during the season as good as they can. The basic rule for every game (incl.
playoffs) is to make a prediction - the winning team of every single game (2
points for the correct prediction), the name of the author of the game winning
goal (4 points) and the final score of the game (5 points - add OT for overtime
or SO for shootouts).
Congratulations to winners! Eurolanche League will be back for the next season.
