Avs on WC (10): Stastny scored again!

Sunday was also a game day, and Avs players were
in action again. So how did they do?
The first game of the day was USA – Germany. Games with underdogs can
be tricky, but USA made those 3 expected points rather easily. Also thanks to
goal of Paul Stastny who moved the
score to 2:0. It was his 4th goal on this tournament and he has
added at least one point in every game so far (4+5). He is in top 4 scoring players on tournament. What an impressive
record! Shame, he did not score like that during past season in Avalanche
jersey. Also defenders from Denver Erik
Johnson and Matt Hunwick are on
the score sheet today and both managed one assist on goal. In total, Johnson is
on 4 points (2+2), Hunwick on 3 (2+1) and Palushaj
on 2 (1+1).

Second game of today was again with Avs appearance. Canada faced Czech Republic and Czechs showed their best performance so far. Still did not manage to add any point today and lost the game 1:2. Neither Duchene nor O´Reilly scored any points today whereas Jan Hejda made a successful pass on only goal that Czech team scored. It is his first point on this WC.
