Avs on WC (15): Landeskog with gold!
Along with the daily results, we also focus on Avs players at WC.Last day on this World Championship brought us two last
games. First one was a fight for bronze medal. Team USA faced Finland and
was leading for most of the game. Two goals scored in the first period (one
scored by Paul Stastny and he also
had an assist to the other one) secured USA the lead, but Fins tied the game in
the third period. Not even overtime gave us a winner, so it went all down to
shootouts. The deciding shootout was scored by Galchenyuk and USA won the bronze medal. Matt Hunwick, Erik Johnson and.
Aaron Palushaj didn´t
score any points.
Gabriel
Landeskog had one assist in the final game against Switzerland and helped his team to win
gold medals. After long 27 years, hosting country won gold medals again. Still
the biggest surprise of the tournament is silver medals for team Switzerland.
