Eurolanche begins 7th season
Eurolanche Fan Club enters in its seventh season in the history.Shorthened season and a summer ended very fast. We are just few hours away of the new Colorado Avalanche season. New era begins. It is the same for the Eurolanche. The first Avalanche Fan Club based in Europe starts its seventh season. Fan Club was founded in 2007 and offers more and more benefits to its members from year to year. On what you can looking forward in the upcoming season?
Eurolanche´s website will offer daily Avalanche coverage thru the stories of our reporters and editors. Thanks our big fan base in Czech Republic and Slovakia, we are able to publish three exclusive stories per day in these two languages. Just for example, we published 97 articles in July and August, during the period of just 62 days. It doesn´t mean we don´t want to support the Avs coverage in English language. We are still try to work hard on our language skills and find more correspondents from English-speaking countries. We already have some talented contributors, but we would like to offer you more and become number 1 source for the Avalanche news worldwide.
Eurolanche League is a long time project of our fan club that starts the 4thedition this season. The main goals is very simple: you have to make a prediction for all Avalanche games - the winning team of every single game, the name of the author of the game winning goal and the final score of the game (add "OT" for overtime and "SO" for shootout, if you do not think that game will end in the regulation). We add the list of games by five for your predictions in the special section Eurolanche League in the Eurolanche infobox at the main website. The first three successful members will win the authentic Colorado Avalanche souvenirs at the end of the season.
Probably, the biggest project in the fan club history is the Eurolanche Invasion – the trip of European fans to Denver. Thanks to that, we were in Denver for five times and saw 28 Avs games in person – one of them even on the away ice in Minnesota. Eurolanche Invasion V was organized six months ago, but we are thinking about the next edition Invasion VI. Nothing has been confirmed, the final decision will be made in the following days.
Our admins didn´t stop their work in the summer and improved our website a lot. Major changes are invisible for the public as they were a part of improving of our system for reporters. Our main goal is create the easiest and fastest way/conditions for our staff members, so the voluntary work for the Eurolanche doesn´t take a lot of their free time. Speaking of improvements, we updated the main header at the website with using a new font. Moreover, there will be a special box in some stories at their end part – this box could be used for the poll and related stories. We hope it will be helpful for you and that you won´t miss any important story from the past. Also the poll should brings more interaction for both sides – you and the staff. We are working on more visible upgrades of our website and the fan club, we will keep you informed.
Be sure you don´t miss our new message board at this link. It is up to you if it will become big place for the entire Avalanche fan base in the world. The main language of the message board is English, but there is one section for non-English speaking fans as well. You are very welcomed there.
