One Bad Game at a Time
Some after loss musingSo the Avs lost to Nashville the other night. It was only the second loss of the season so not too bad of a thing. But it was the first really bad game of the season for the Avs.
Varly played like just a regular only Varly of last year. Which it sucks but it was only one bad game so far. Hopefully is possible legal issues are not starting to seep into his game. Let’s be honest here even if they do as of right now Jiggy is playing awesome. I have no problem seeing Jiggy start some more games.
Being reunited with Francois Allaire and being under Roy has turned back the clock early for Jiggy. So even if Varly falters some more I trust in Jiggy.
The defense finally looked like what everyone expected it too. A bunch of 3 and 4 guys with some journeymen in the mix. But once again only one night of horrible play.
Ryan Wilson played an absolute horrible game that night. Then now of course is injured and out. I adore Ryan Wilson and his hard nose style of play. When he can play it well he is awesome and I wouldn’t want anyone else on this team. But seriously when will enough be enough with the injuries. Unless you are Crosby level good you can’t spend half seasons injured and still help the team. I say this with a grain of salt but sadly he is one of the few guys signed pat this year. If he can’t stay healthy soon he needs to go can’t help from the press box.
Duchene is epically awesome amazing. What more can you really say about him at this point. Nice to see him and Factor together line wise too working well. No more bad blood rumors.
Tonight the Avs play the Flames. The flames are no longer in the same division so hopefully the Avs beat them. They need a nice big bounce back game tonight. Even if it not a win a nice game where they show some defense again would be awesome. The Avs just need that and it will click. Even in a horrible game for the Avs it was a close score. So on to the next one and as always GO Avs Go!!
