Sakic, Hejduk back on the ice

Joe Sakic, Milan Hejduk, Pierre Turgeon and Scott Parker are amongst the former Colorado Avalanche players who will play an exhibition 3-period game at 5 pm local time on this Wednesday in Littleton, next to Denver. The game will be followed by shootouts as well. According to the official press release, veterans will be a part of a special fundraising evening to benefit scholarship funds for Foothills Hockey Association and Colorado Select Girls Hockey Association.

Parker absolutely hasn´t hide his joy for the game. “It´s on! Gonna be protecting Big Poppa again! Who wants to see me in the penalty box next week - come and support!,” posted on his Facebook profile.

The capacity of the arena is for 1000 fans; one ticket costs 10 dollars in advance, 12.50 at the door. You can purchase tickets at this website. There will be available DVD of the game with some bonuses for 40 dollars. NHL/Avs Alumni team, that includes also players like Ken Klee, Rick Berry, Mark Rycroft, Jim Montgomery, Phil Crowe, Darwin McPherson, Ryan Stewart, Al Conroy and Doug Smail, will face the FHA/CSGHA Coaches team.
