Dater: Colorado wasn´t bad at all

Dater: Colorado wasn´t bad at allThis is an opinion of Adrian Dater on yesterday´s game between Colorado Avalanche and Phoenix Coyotes.

The Game article about the game against Phoenix Coyotes caused many negative comments in discussions. In the time of writing this article, negative reactions has appeared only under the Slovak version of the article “Rychly komentar”. Fans did not agree with my opinion that the Avs played really, really bad and Joe Sacco should be fire soon. If you have not read my opinion in The Game, let me briefly introduce it:

The Avs played bad. It does not matter on number of shots. No effectiveness. I did not see player´s heart on the ice, any passion, just like a duty when you have to take a trash out. Defense showed more mistakes, Varlamov is not Varlamov from the start of the season. Big disappointment and frustration. Changes have to come.

To be honest, I did not see anything positive on this game. And I am still not seeing it. It is the worst kind of the game which you can ever see. I guess it would continue and we can get back to the end of the least season – when players had started to accustom on losses. There would be not a piece of heart.

OK, let´s check Dater´s opinion published at his blog:

Adrian does not think Colorado played bad. He underlined 40 shots, two posts and hard skating. This is reasons why he did not want to criticize whole team in spite of another home-game loss. Dater chose Paul Stastny and Erik Johnson. Stastny is our top-line center with the biggest salary. Johnson is No.1 draft pick and the management traded for him good players. And their reactions? Zero points in five home-games.

Johnson admitted his mistakes and knows he has to be better. He will do everything for that. Stastny did not have to talk about it. His more than 6000000 contract speaks for everything. There is also Matt Duchene, the game winning goal scorer from the game against Kings. He had zero points yesterday.

These players must get points. They are all for us. Sacco knows it and was little bit of frustrated. He hates turnovers in the neutral zone.

Back to me again. I am still thinking it was a bad game. Really bad. Did not show anything. The team needs big leader, big person. Nobody can find him in the one season. Hope I am wrong.
