New rules for Eurolanche Invasion

New rules for Eurolanche InvasionEurolanche Fan Club introduces new rules for the Eurolanche Invasion participants.

Eurolanche Fan Club was founded in 2007 and since that time we have organized six trips called Eurolanche Invasion to Denver for the Colorado Avalanche hockey. In total, 24 people (14 different) from four European countries visited 35 Avalanche games (incl. one road fame) during six Invasions. This statistic proofs the Eurolanche is very unique project as no one other did what we. For someone, this numbers are just numbers, so another evidence of our successful run are concrete memories and experiences of the Invasion participants that you could read at www.eurolanche.com many times in the past. Our story was published also in the national and local newspapers and magazines in Europe plus we experienced some memorable media appearances in US media too.

During every Invasion we were trying to create the best conditions for each participant so after its end he or she could tell us it was his or her best experience in the life or for other experienced participants it was much better trip than previous. Every day we were in USA we got more and more experiences and then we could work on the upgrade of the general rules for the Invasion participants and also for us as the main organizer of the event. Now, we believed we found the best way how to organize next Invasions for further years. Role of the new rules is not to restrict someone, but contribute to prepare much better conditions and experiences like in the past. Make unforgettable moments like meetings with the Avs players more memorable and comfortable.

After long discussions with other members of the executive staff of the Fan Club we reached an agreement on the following new rules for the Eurolanche Invasion that are valid from today for the all following trips:

1. There is no more limit for a number of the Invasion participants like it was in the past. Unlimited number of people can join us anytime. Only situation when the Eurolanche can restrict the final number of the participants is if its higher number would be complicated organization and financial expenses (extra room, two cars instead one etc).

2. If the restriction will be necessary the Eurolanche will consider the order of participants. The order is based on when the member send his registration to the trip to eurolanche@eurolanche.com. (For example, there are now around 10 members who sent their registration for the Eurolanche Invasion VII even before Invasion VI was organized).

3. The final order could be changed only by the executive staff members and writers who have worked for the Fan Club at least one year prior the event. Only these two groups can join the Invasion anytime before the final deadline and then be placed on top places in the order.

4. The Eurolanche will set the first deadline. After that the plane tickets and a hotel accommodation will be ready in the next days. There will be also the second deadline – a chance for members who won´t still know if they can join us or not around the first deadline. The second deadline will be always set three months prior the start of the trip. Importantly, the order voids after the first deadline, so there is a risk you can lose your position in the order if you will wait until the second deadline and in the worst you could be restricted according to Rule 1.

5. It is possible to travel to Colorado on your own, but in this case the Fan Club doesn´t guarantee a help with your travelling plan and a transport to the hotel. The latest possible arrival date to Colorado is one day before the first Avalanche game.

6. All participants are accommodated at the same hotel facility. All participants pay for the accommodation for whole date of the Invasion with no matter when the individual travelers arrive to Denver.

7. After a group agreement the participants will rent a car for the whole or just a part of the Invasion.

8. Eurolanche Fan Club doesn´t guarantee to participants the free tickets for the Colorado Avalanche games and also not special sale tickets. It all depends on the number of participants, their order and their activity for the Fan Club for the previous months. In general, Fan Club will help to find right places where to buy tickets for good prices.

9. Eurolanche Fan Club does guarantee to participants special VIP tickets for the post-game meetings with all Avalanche players. The only restriction could happen in a case if unexpected high number of participants will travel. In that case, the participants will be divided in two groups and they will split the post-game meetings on the half. All participants will be informed about the expected situation prior the first deadline.

10. Eurolanche Fan Club does guarantee to participants a general organization of the Invasion – we find the best plane ticket for you and buy it after you sent the money, find quality accommodation and a car for rent, transportation from the airport to the city, planning trips in and outside Denver, schedule meeting with other fans, players and team´s employees or journalists, trying to get special tickets for a game day practice that is restricted for the public and in general take care about the non-problem organization of the Invasion.

11. After the second deadline the participants will discuss and create the final schedule for the Invasion that becomes unchanged for everybody with some exceptions of course (like bad weather etc).

12. All Invasion participants except the executive staff are required to pay a fee for the Invasion organization. The amount of fee is based on the participant activity for the Fan Club in the recent months. You will find out your fee by writing to eurolanche@eurolanche.com.

13. Eurolanche Invasion is organized only with a participation of the President or the Vice President of the Fan Club.

Eurolanche Invasion VII

The pre-date of the next Invasion will be likely announced at the end of June when the NHL schedule release is expected. You can now pre-register for the seventh trip by writing to eurolanche@eurolanche.com (there are now approximately 10 registered members). You would get the information about the fee after the pre-date is announced.
