Mack's goal leads Avs past Kings
The official game recap Los Angeles Kings vs Colorado Avalanche.Nathan MacKinnon scored the shootout clincher before Semyon Varlamov denied Jarret Stoll in the Colorado Avalanche's preseason win against the Los Angeles Kings at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Dennis Everberg and Matt Duchene scored for the Avalanche, who concluded their preseason with a win after going 0-5-2 through seven games. Colorado will open the season on Oct. 9 at Minnesota.
Tyler Toffoli scored two goals for the Kings, who went 5-0-2 in the preseason. Los Angeles will raise its Stanley Cup championship banner on Oct. 8 before it hosts San Jose at Staples Center.
