Varlamov won't attend Allaire's camp

This story has been updated with new information thanks to our followers on Twitter.
Semyon Varlamov has participated in one of the best goalie camps for NHL players in Switzerland over the last couple of years. This tournament is run by Francois Allaire, the Colorado Avalanche goalie coach. Sadly, Varlamov will not be there this year.
Eurolanche's source, a senior official who is close to the camp and would like to have Varlamov in Europe like every year, told us there may be legal problems for Varlamov in case he'd leave US territory. It is known that Varlamov was arrested in 2013, when his girlfriend accused him of domestic violence. When a case is under investigation, the US court has the power to forbid a person, especially a foreigner, to leave the USA. Otherwise, he would lose his worker's visa.
Nonetheless, several Avalanche fans sent us pictures of Varlamov being in Russia one month ago. Does this whole new piece of information mean he could travel outside US territory in the recent past, but something linked to his court case had changed and now he has to stay put for the time being?
After publishing this news, our followers on Twitter offered other explanations. Varly has some injury problems and that is the reason why he could travel to Russia in the past, but the team would not let him attend the goalie camp. But why would our reliable source tell us the other explanation mentioned above?
For now, the whole situation remains a mystery that we can't verify at the moment. Fact is, Varlamov will miss this camp for the first time. On the other hand, Eurolanche supports Varlamov and it has never had an intention to damage his name.
As we've reported, Varlamov had the same problem in May 2015, when he didn’t join Team Russia for the World Championship in the Czech Republic. He was projected to be Russia's starting goalie, but didn’t join the team and stayed in Denver. Some people believed that it was just an excuse on behalf of Team Russia and the real reason was his "failure" at the Olympics in Sochi.
The goalie camp in the town of Verbier in Switzerland will include several Avalanche players. Reto Berra and Calvin Pickard will both be training there. The camp will last the majority of next week. Eurolanche’s correspondent will visit it and try to interview both Avs goalies.
