Avs won first preseason game vs DucksAlex Tanguay scores in OT to lift Avalanche past Ducks.

Alex Tanguay scored 1:18 into overtime to lead the Colorado Avalanche past the Anaheim Ducks 5-4 at Pepsi Center.

Tanguay, Jack Skille (one goal, one assist), Nathan MacKinnon (two assists) and Nikita Zadorov (two assists) each had two points for Colorado. Conner Bleackley, Mikko Rantanen and Nick Holden had goals.

Jiri Sekac scored twice and Mike Santorelli had two assists for the Ducks. Julius Nattinen and Chris Wagner also scored.

Ducks goalie John Gibson played the entire game and made 26 saves.

Semyon Varlamov started for the Avalanche and allowed two goals on 17 shots. Roman Will made nine saves on 11 shots.

Colorado was 1-for-5 on the power play; Anaheim was 0-for-3.
