Avalanche signs Jack SkilleForward inks one-year deal; Colorado reassigns Dennis Everberg.

The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has signed forward Jack Skille to a one-year contract for the upcoming 2015-16 season.

In addition, the Avs also announced today that forward Dennis Everberg has been reassigned to San Antonio (AHL). On Monday, the club released forward Curtis Glencross from his Professional Tryout (PTO). With forward Jesse Winchester on Injured Reserve, Colorado’s active roster is now at 23 players.

Skille, 28, has been on a PTO with the Avalanche since the start of training camp. The Madison, Wisconsin, native finished the preseason with two points (1g/1a) in five contests. Selected by Chicago in the first round (seventh overall) of the 2005 Entry Draft, Skille has recorded 61 points (30g/31a) in 239 career NHL games. He spent the 2014-15 campaign with the Columbus Blue Jackets, tallying eight points (6g/2a) in 45 games.
