The Game

The third game during the Eurolanche Invasion IV had the winning end again. Players had to play very hard to get the third in a row and also win by one goal for the third time too. The first period was about the lucky. Our offensive guys scored two times, but then fall asleep. There was missing bigger pressure – PPs did not even help them. It was mainly defensive game without many pure goal scoring chances. It looked like everyone took a big rest after the first period. Too big. Then came two goals of the Blues. Was the first one Giguere´s fault or not? I can agree with opponent´s fans that this game should finish after the overtime. The Avs did not show strong collective effort – this thing had won two previous games for them. I hope it was just a fatigue and not a matter of “huge wins” factor about what Dater wrote few days ago. I have to repeat it again – new Sacco´s defensive tactic is successful so far. Or is it because of Eurolanche?
