Max Noreau comes back to Europe

Max Noreau comes back to EuropeThe Rampage defenseman is going to spend the next two years in Europe.

Maxim Noreau joined the Colorado Avalanche organization in the summer of 2014 when he signed one-way contract for two years. It was expected he would get a chance in the NHL with all his previous experience and skills. Unfortunately, he didn’t appear in any game for the past two years. He even didn’t get his opportunity in the season 2015/16 when he was the best defenseman for the San Antonio Rampage. In 64 games he collected 45 points and was a defensive leader.

Noreau has decided to move on, left North America and come back to Europe where he was a leader before. He has signed two-year contract with the Swiss team of Bern. Eurolanche Fan Club called with Maxim and received the following statement:

“Obviously it wasn’t working out here. I thought I played very well. I didn’t get my chance. My goal was to play in the NHL. It was pretty disappointing to get no chance. So I decided to come back to Europe. I am not only guy in the world who played well and deserved a chance. It’s part of the business. I deserved to play, try to help them to make the playoffs or at the beginning of the season. It was pretty tough for me. This was probably my last try to make it to the NHL as I am now 28 years old.”
