Invasion IX: Interview with Jakub
Eurolanche Invasion IX starts in January. 10 Fan Club members from 4 countries will travel to the US. We're introducing member by member in these inteviews.Jakub Klos, 28, hails from Koprivnice and currently lives in Bucovice near Brno. He’s been a fan of the Colorado Avalanche since 1996 and a member of Eurolanche since 2011. He works as an analyst in an IT company, which manages and develops systems for an international company in the financial sector. He is the head administrator of the entire Eurolanche.com website and other affiliated sites. This will be his first trip to Denver.
Why did you decide to go to Colorado?
I’ve dreamed about attending Avalanche games for many years, but I couldn’t fulfill my ambitions because of various reasons and thus, I never had the chance to take part in the Invasion. Everything came together now, so I didn’t hesitate.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Obviously, I am most looking forward to finally visit the Pepsi Center in person to watch my beloved team with everything that goes with it.
What are your expectations of the trip in general?
Given the fact that a bunch of nice people is going there with me, I expect that there will be a great atmosphere, lots of fun and that I’ll come back with lots of great memories.
Have you followed the previous Invasions? If so, did anything really made you want to experience it too?
I closely followed all Invasions from the third up to now and aside from particular NHL games, I’d like to have the opportunity to personally meet as many Avalanche players as possible and get their autographs. It probably won’t be easy, but I believe I’ll get some.
How long have you been a member of Eurolanche and what do you think about it?
I’ve been a member since summer 2011 and I’ve been taking care of its website since late 2011. I like that the fan club is constantly developing and it‘s become a platform not only for non-American fans.
How do you like the organization and preparations for Invasion IX?
It runs quite smoothly. It’s obvious that there is organizer with lots of experience under his belt.
