World Juniors at Eurolanche.com

The World Juniors Championship will once again be part of Eurolanche’s coverage this year. The Fan Club will provide recaps of games featuring prospects from the Colorado Avalanche organization. The coverage will focus on two big talents: Swedish goalie Adam Werner and forward Tyson Jost from Canada.

The knockout round is scheduled from January 2 to January 5. Updates on both players will be available on Eurolanche’s Twitter and Facebook as well.

Adam Werner was selected by the Avalanche 131th overall in the fifth round of this year’s draft. Adam is a member of the Färjestad BK organization, but is on loan at IF Björklöven of the Allsvenskan (Sweden's second-tier league) for the entirity of season and he's been performing really well. His 6’5'' frame is a huge advantage. People in the Avalanche organization believe in his skills and talent, but everything will depend on his development in Europe. 

Tyson Jost became the Avalanche’s first pick of this year’s draft, when they selected him 10^th overall. He plays in the NCAA for the University of North Dakota, where he's been playing with a point-per-game pace. He captained Team Canada at the last U18 World Championship, registering 15 points in only seven games. According to Eliteprospects.com, “he is a crafty goal-scorer who carries out plays as quickly as he envisions them. As someone who thinks and plays at a fast tempo, it comes as no surprise that he creates a lot of energy as an offensive catalyst.”
