Eurolanche Invasion IX begins tomorrowMembers of the Eurolanche Fan Club will attend five home and two away games of the Colorado Avalanche.

The ninth trip of the Eurolanche Fan Club to North America, the Eurolanche Invasion IX, begins tomorrow. In total, 10 Fan Club members from the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary and Slovakia will spend two weeks in the USA. Nine of the participants will take part in the Invasion project for the first time. This will also be the first trip to feature Fan Club members from Finland and Hungary. The schedule of the trip is highlighted by seven Colorado Avalanche games, which will tie the record for the number of visited games during one trip. Invasion IX begins on January 12 and ends on January 26.

“I think we are well-prepared for this trip. Our group met for the first time in August 2016 at the orientation meeting in the Czech Republic, where we discussed everything important, like the whole organizational process, previous experiences, the schedule or rules and policies. Honestly, it went all really fast and very smoothly. Right now, we’re just waiting for Day 1. I am also glad that everyone except me will be going to Denver for the first time and that has been our goal since the beginning – to get as many Avalanche fans to the Pepsi Center as possible,” said Eurolanche Founder & President David Puchovsky.

The coverage of the Eurolanche Invasion IX will be available on different websites and sources. The main source of the coverage (live Twitter feed, diaries in three different languages and short recaps) will be Invasion.Eurolanche.com. Eurolanche’s main website Eurolanche.com will offer daily published short recaps with a photo of the day, featured stories and videos. Up-to-date 24/7 news and coverage will be available on social media. Fans from all around the world will be able to follow Invasion IX on Facebook.com/Eurolanche and Twitter.com/Eurolanche. Both of Eurolanche’s social media accounts will also broadcast live feeds from every day of the trip.

Moreover, Eurolanche will present special merchandise with its anniversary logo to local fans, players and team employees as the current season is the 10th in Fan Club history. All fans who will meet with the crew of Invasion IX will have the chance to take part in a contest for a Colorado Avalanche jersey by simply taking a picture with the anniversary logo, which will be available at the newly launched sister website Story.Eurolanche.com. The dates and times for a Meet & Greet with Eurolanche in the USA will be published via all sources of Invasion IX coverage.

The participants of Invasion IX will attend home games against the Ducks, Predators, Blackhawks, Sharks and Canucks. The crew will also spend four days at the West Coast, which will include Avalanche away games against the Ducks and Sharks. For the first time ever, the participants will attend two games against the same opponents twice. This will also be the first time the participants will attend two away games. The participants will spend the time between January 18 and January 22 on the West Coast trip, where they will visit Los Angeles, San Francisco and a number of other places. The trip will mark Eurolanche’s return to San Francisco for the second time, as one third of the participants of Invasion VII visited the city during the Fan Club’s seventh overseas trip. The trip to Los Angeles will be the first in Eurolanche history.

Ten of twelve Eurolanche members who attended the summer meeting in Czech Republic will be a part of the Eurolanche Invasion IX.

The Eurolanche Invasion project has always focused on hockey. This year, the schedule includes traditional activities like meetings with current and former Colorado Avalanche players, visits to practices, a tour of the Pepsi Center and last but not least, buying lots of Avalanche merchandise at the team’s official store Altitude Authentics at the Pepsi Center.

Eurolanche’s annual trips have also been great opportunities to explore and show the beauty of the state of Colorado to Europeans, who are always left amazed. The Invasion IX schedule also includes trips to the Red Rocks Amphitheater, Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Railway and for the first time, trips to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Rocky Mountain National Park (the new scenic drive), Keystone Winter Park and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. A number of Invasion IX participants will also attend other sport events at the Pepsi Center.

Meanwhile, due to high interest from European Colorado Avalanche fans, the Eurolanche Fan Club has launched a preliminary registration process for the Eurolanche Invasion X. Invasion X is scheduled for the 2017/18 season and since it will be the 10th trip in Fan Club history, it will bring exclusive opportunities and activities like never before.
