Two division games and two losses.
I used the celebration photo in case you forgot what the team looks like when it wins. Well, take a good, long look. You might not see it pretty often or very soon. The boys play at home, but it's against the Canucks and the Hakws. Only then they get the worst team in the East, the Hurricanes.

Postgame thoughts: Wild

I used the celebration photo in case you forgot what the team looks like when it wins. Well, take a good, long look. You might not see it pretty often or very soon. The boys play at home, but it's against the Canucks and the Hakws. Only then they get the worst team in the East, the Hurricanes.
But until then they already played two division rivals. And I use the term rival here meaning "teams that usually beat the Avs". Same old stuff happened, I don't really feel the need to get back on the topic of lacking enthusiasm in a team that claims to wear the A with pride. It's more like "wore with a yawn". And every time they lose a game I can't help but thinking of that first round pick they don't have this year. But hey, the Nuggets are great, so Kroenke must be satisfied. And Sherman and Sacco are satisfied too, since they still have jobs. Imagine them working for a team in Canada. But no, they're in peaceful Denver, where the owner doesn't give a rat's behind about the hockey team. Sorry, I forgot... They're waiting for the new CBA and for the new contracts... Interestingly enough, they're about the only team waiting for that. The others are at least trying to do something right.
I hate it when it always comes back to the same discussion about how the Avs are managed and coached. At least Mueller is back and scoring, looking healthy. I'm rooting for him and maybe the management will have the sense to keep him around, not like they did with Flash.
Speaking of trades, Dater claims the Blues are done with Stewart. I really don't know who's more disappointed after that trade. At least EJ is playing somewhat better, not that he's an all-star yet, but for a team as bad as the Avs he'll do fine. But don't get your hopes up, Stewey is not coming back, in my opinion, even if the Blues look to unload him. What would the Avs give for him? In the spirit of Sherman's trades, it might be next year's 1st rounder and O'Reilly.
There's really not much left to say after the way the Avs are playing. We've seen it enough in the last two years and we'll probably see it again. So I'll be signing off, hoping that you don't have the crappy weather we have around here. Summer can't come soon enough...
