Avs' Chuck Kobasew fined for tripping incident.
Avalanche forward Chuck Kobasew has been fined $2,500 for tripping Vancouver defenseman Dan Hamhuis on Saturday.
The amount is the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement.
Kobasew tripped Hamhuis in the second period of the Avs' 3-2 shootout loss to the Canucks. Hamhuis was gathering the puck on an icing call when he was tripped. Kobasew was given a minor penalty.
