Eurolanche’s 10th anniversary (22.)
Until the end of 2017, we will bring you more articles from the series about the history of the Eurolanche Fan Club.Eurolanche was few weeks old when I met Filip from Croatia in 2007. We were in a contact via the official Avalanche message boards. His trip to Slovakia with his family was organized back then before we got know each other. We used this opportunity and spent one night of watching the Avalanche game. For me, it was for the first time when I met a real Avalanche fan despite Avs were really popular in my region back in those years, especially after winning the Cup in 2001. It was also the first time when I watched an Avs game with other fan. We stayed in touch with Filip and planned my visit of his family place in Zagreb, Croatia. I spent there several days. Our schedule was about hockey and getting know streets of this nice place. I talked with Filip about an idea to organize trips to Denver. Again, for the first time ever I could talk about this with someone. So the whole Eurolanche Invasion project was created in Croatia. One year later, I was traveling to Denver. Filip has not had this chance yet but I hope he can make it true soon. You can view photos from our meetings with Filip in the newly published photo gallery.
