Eurolanche's most successful weekThe biggest fan club of the Colorado Avalanche had a historical week in Sweden.

The 2017 SAP NHL Global Series and Eurolanche Raid 2017 events were the main reasons why the past week became the most successful period in the history of the first and the biggest Colorado Avalanche fan club. Eurolanche caught the attention of the entire hockey community - fans, journalists, players, NHL executives, as well as the Colorado Avalanche organization itself.

The presence of the Fan Club’s editor Michal Hezely at the entire event as an accredited media member was was the key of Eurolanche's overall success and the impression it made. Hezely had unlimited access behind the scenes, from where he published a number original articles, hundreds of tweets, videos and interviews with the players of the Colorado Avalanche and Ottawa Senators.

 

“Hezely’s work clearly proved that our website Eurolanche.com isn’t only a fan club website, but also a source of objective and verified news about the Colorado Avalanche. We have sent a signal to the entire hockey world that besides organizing our own events and supporting the Avalanche, we can also stand out as professional members of the media community. We believe this breakout moment will allow us to get access more NHL events in the future,“ said Eurolanche Founder and President David Puchovsky.

Part of the Fan Club’s coverage from Stockholm were messages and posts from participants of the Eurolanche Raid 2017. In total, 57 members from ten countries and two continents took part in the so far biggest event in Eurolanche history. Dozens of other Fan Club members, who traveled there individually, joined them in the streets of Stockholm. The final number of all Eurolanche members in Sweden surpassed 100.

 

Several media outlet informed about the Eurolanche Raid 2017: Dan Rosen of NHL.com, the Swedish newspapers Aftonbladet (in both its online and print version) and Expressen (in a live video), the Czech TV channel Nova Sport, as well as the NHL itself on its official Instagram account. PR employees of the NHL have dubbed Eurolanche as the biggest Colorado Avalanche fan club in the world. 

 

The NHL Global Series and Eurolanche Raid 2017 were a great opportunity to hand out the newly-printed Eurolanche book, which was written by David Puchovsky and translated by Michal Hezely. The books were given to several Avalanche players, employees, journalists, Joe SakicPeter ForsbergJosh Kroenke and many others who are connected to Avs hockey or the NHL as a gift. Josh Kroenke even greeted all Fan Club members in a video. The next wave of books will be distributed in Denver at the Eurolanche Invasion X in February and March 2018. In the span of five days, Eurolanche published more than 500 tweets on its Twitter account about the NHL Global Series and Eurolanche Raid 2017, and gained dozens of new followers, including the NHL and journalist Dan Rosen. The number of registered Fan Club members has surpassed 800. In the span of four days, 29 stories about both events were published at the special website GlobalSeries.Eurolanche.com. In total, more than 80 stories about both events were published at Eurolanche’s websites. 

GlobalSeries.Eurolanche.com will soon be updated with full details of both games in Sweden and a recap of the Eurolanche Raid 2017. The website will serve as a tribute to a unique event, which brought Avalanche hockey and its regular NHL games to Europe for the first time ever.
